CHI Symposium: First Responder Issues

The Center for Health Innovation will be co-sponsoring this morning symposium on first responder and community resilience issues on Long Island. In conjunction with the Nassau County Department of Human Services, Nassau County Office of Emergency Management, and Team Rubicon, this symposium will address first responder disaster issues that are specific to Long Island.

There will be three facilitated discussions on the following topics: 

  • First Responder Mental Health Issues, post disaster in their own communities
  • Building more resilient communities through strong local preparedness
  • Utilizing veterans in response and rebuilding efforts
